I'm a Little Obsessed...
Okay, so I'm not really sure why it's putting this pic vertically, and yet again, I am too dumb to rotate it back. Can someone help me please?? In any case, this is Tiernan after his bath. He now thinks the flash is just so hilarious, so usually he laughs right AFTER I take the pic (of course!) but I caught a good one!

Happy Halloween!
Well, I must admit that Halloween is definitely not one of my favorite holidays, so Tiernan was a non-creative pumpkin for the exciting Halloween activities of passing out candy and going to bed at 7:30. Sounds like a good time to me!
He loves his daddy.
Kisses from mommy-but her watch is much more interesting!

Sitting up!
Tiernan "got" to go to the doctor today. It was a special treat for Ethan because for the first time he got to go too! Tiernan weighs 19 lbs. 7 oz. (90%), and is 28" long (90%.) The Dr. said the average one year old is 22 lbs. so he's getting close (at 6 mos!) Here are some pics of him sitting by himself:

Milk Coma
Ethan had his surgery on Oct. 2nd. Everything went as planned, but he is supposed to basically be on bedrest until at least Sunday. So now he is camped out on the recliner, watching more TV than I'm sure he has seen in the last six months combined! He fed Tiernan a bottle and after he was so relaxed. Tiernan looked so funny, I had to snap a few pics.
Finished?? For Now at Least...
We were finally able to move back into our house on Sept. 27th. It is pretty much done except some little things, like trimwork, doors, and blinds. Okay, so maybe doors and blinds are not such little things. Mom told me that privacy is overrated so I'm trying to take her advice. We have some very lovely plastic masking in the windows for blinds for now-it's very high brow. I am trying to be patient (something I have had to have alot of lately) and know that this winter Ethan will be ready to go again. Or at least that's what I'm hoping for. Anyway, here are the latest pics of our house:
The backyard-notice our new paint! Can you believe the tree regrew its leaves? Still needs to be trimmed though...
Can you make out the fancy trimwork by my very talented carpenter?

Master bedroom-I think Tiernan's going to like it! You can see a little hand poking out at the bottom of the picture.
Tilework by my second favorite carpenter. Dad is so excited to be doing "charity work" for a tornado victim. :)
Living Room-with carpet!
Dining Room-we no longer have yucky green (and pink!) carpet.

When it rains...
When it rains, it pours....and twists, blows, and turns in our case.
Ethan was playing softball last night (Monday) and as he was rounding second base heard a crack in his foot. As some of you recall, last spring the same exact thing happened and he was on crutches and unable to work for 15 weeks. This time, however, it was the other foot. So we went to doctor this afternoon and they x-rayed his foot and surprise, surprise, it is broken! Next Thursday he has to go in for surgery to get a screw put in his foot and will be down (as in, on crutches again) for about 6 weeks. I told him he is officially and permanently retired from softball. :)
I decided that God must be trying to teach us to not ever get too comfortable. We almost laughed (because if we didn't, we'd cry) when they told us what happened. They probably thought we were crazy, and we probably are, with everything going on in our lives. So please keep us in your thoughts and prayers because we have a move, surgery, missed work, and an unfinished house! all in the next couple of weeks.

One Week Before our Move!
I'm surprised I haven't heard from my sister harrassing me about putting up more pictures yet. So I thought I'd beat her to the punch and put some up first! Tiernan has just started to enjoy his "ADD" chair (or exer-saucer for those who are not twisted.) Although I'm afraid he's going to be too tall for it very soon!
PS We have only one week until we move back into our house. YIKES!! I'm trying not to be concerned that our bathrooms are still not done. Who needs to shower, right?? I'll upload pics after we get carpet in on Monday.

Labor Day Weekend
This weekend we visited the Colorado Springs area. We were able to eat lunch with Dale, Vera, and Lauren. Then we headed up to the Royal Gorge. Here is the view from the side.
Next we took the cog railroad up to the top of Pike's Peak. It was so cold and windy but BEAUTIFUL. Notice Tiernan is all bundled up (and asleep!)
On the tram in the Royal Gorge.

Ethan worked so hard this weekend putting in windows. I'm quite beside myself since now I have windows that open and close!!
