Christmas 2010

We spent Christmas this year in GJ with my parents and extended family. I was also recovering from surgery so it was SO nice having the extra help with the kiddos. Tiernan and Cameron had so much fun playing with their cousins and getting all kinds of extra love and attention from grandparents, aunties, and uncles.

John Deere hat from G.G. (my grandma)

The best gift of the day was an ultrasound photo from Josh and Dez. We are so excited to have another cousin on the way, due in July!

This was the first Christmas Tiernan understood what happens when we open up the gifts.

Cameron was cracking us up! Whenever I'd pull out my camera to take a picture he'd scrunch up his nose and smile, smile, smile. How does he already have us all wrapped around his little finger? Oh, probably because he's adorable. (again, a little biased)

I was banned from giving puzzles to Tiernan by his Dad (how BORING) but he loved the ones given to him by his Grandma

Libby and Cameron

He looks more and more like his dad every day

Cameron had so much fun playing with G-pa (my grandpa)

We pulled out the Christmas train (that used to be ours when we were kids.) What a fiasco. It didn't stay on the tracks, when we could even get it lined up right, and didn't have enough power to make it around the bend. Tiernan didn't care too much and was sad when we had to put it away (because the adults were too frustrated.)

See the silly scrunchy face?

Love this pic of Cameron and Grandpa

9 months old

My baby is now 9 months old. When I took him in for his Dr. visit this week, he weighed 19 lbs. 8 oz. (30%, can you believe it?), and was 28 3/4 in. long (75%.) Here are pics of both of the boys at 9 mos. for your viewing pleasure:

Check out those dimples! (and teeth, of which he has four and another one coming in) It's been endless fun of teething for the past couple of months around here.

Oh my gosh, look how little Tiernan was! It makes me a little sentimental!

Snow Day and Gerber Baby

We got a bunch of snow here the other day. So we spent 10 minutes getting our snow pants, winter coat, gloves, hat, etc etc on and then spent 10 minutes outside before coming back inside because it was too cold (for Mom, that is.)

Tiernan loved going down the little slide in his snow pants because it made him go extra fast.

He had so much fun driving his trucks in the snow

All bundled up and ready to go outside

Well I'm probably more than a little bit biased, but I'm pretty sure I have the cutest baby around. Cameron is almost 9 months old now. He loves holding on to things to stand and is just figuring out how to make his walker work. He keeps trying to crawl and can get his little feet up under him, but usually ends up just pushing himself back over onto his back. Cameron is a chatty little guy-loves to babble and definitely lets me know when he is upset by shrieking. Overall he is very happy baby and I am so blessed to be his mommy.
Love his little coveralls-but they are not so much fun when it comes time to get dressed/change diapers

Could he be any cuter?

Halloween!

Here are our adventures at Halloween. We had quite the crazy day. :) First we carved pumpkins, then we went to about five houses trick or treating, and then went to Auntie Megan's house for dinner.

I keep trying to move the pictures so they're in the right order, but it's not letting me. Blogger makes me crazy sometimes!! Anyway, Tiernan was Lightening McQueen's pit crew for Halloween. Here he is on his way to trick or treat.
Aren't these the most precious pictures?

Tiernan is slowly warming up to the idea of pumpkin carving. Mostly he thought it was gross and didn't want to get his hands all slimy. And he was especially frightened to stick his hand inside. He had the most fun by taking the pieces I'd carved out and sticking them back in (eyes, nose, mouth) like a puzzle.

Cameron had fun playing with the seeds and getting all messy.

Doesn't he look like a little boy and not a baby?? :(

What a cutie!

Here are my little karate kid and pit crew member (and Daddy)

Pumpkin Patch

We made our 2nd annual trip to Tigges Farm, our local pumpkin patch/veggie stand. They really have done a great job-it's not so busy like other places we've visited. I'll have to post pics later of carving the pumpkins. Yes, it's Halloween today and we have yet to do that. We'll see if anyone is interested but myself...
Is this supposed to be a cow or horse? We weren't sure either.

He was excited to drive the tractor

Once again he was more thrilled with riding in and pulling the wagon and couldn't have cared less about the pumpkins
Love, love this pic of my precious boys!

Do you like how I was apparently more concerned about taking a picture than helping with the boys? Ethan seems so thrilled that I haul him to these things that he thinks are silly.

Ways to Embarrass Tiernan When he's Older

Cameron had been so sick all weekend long (can you tell by my tired eyes?) so I was trying to take advantage of the cuddle time from him since normally he's such a wiggler....

Then Tiernan decided someone was getting too much attention...

Can you see Cameron's sad face??...

So I said to Ethan, okay since he's up here let's try to get a photo of the three of us, immediately followed by Tiernan trying to get down. Sounds about right.

Every kid tries on their parents' shoes, right? I think Ethan was a little mortified that Tiernan just wants to wear my shoes (probably because Ethan's are as big as Tiernan!)

Getting all cuddled up before bedtime

We were visiting some friends in Vail a few weeks ago on our way to GJ and Tim snapped this super cute photo of Cameron

He has been so interested in "buckets"lately...he'll dump out tubs of toys, buckets of Legos, freshly folded laundry, pretty much anything that makes a big mess all for the sake of climbing inside for two seconds

Building "Forts" and "Helping" Daddy

Well we must have been really bored the other day because I busted out a blanket and two chairs and Tiernan and I built a "fort." I must say that my fort building skills have definitely gone downhill in the past twenty or so years, because it was quite a pathetic looking fort. Luckily Tiernan was totally thrilled with his "house."
And in unrelated news, Ethan has been doing some drywall patches around our house. Tiernan was so excited about the process and was really trying to help his daddy as he was sanding out the mud.
I love Cameron's tongue in this picture!

Happy boy

I'm so helpful!

My sweet boys

He kept asking me to take more and more pictures. What a ham-

Rub a Dub Dub

Here is our newest form of entertainment-taking a "bath". I think I'm probably the only one who gets clean in the process. The boys love splashing around in the water together, and Cameron has survived getting water dumped on his head (although you wouldn't think it at the time!) I was having a hard time taking pictures of them both looking at me at the same time. This was me: "Caaaaameron, Caaaaaameron...look at Mommy!! That's a good boy!"(Cameron looks at me and grins) "Tiernan, look up here!" (Tiernan smiles at me, Cameron looks away) "Cameron! [raspberry sounds]" (Cameron looks at me, Tiernan looks away) "Hey, Tiernan! Look at Mommy, smile!" (Cameron looks away)...

He was so excited to be taking a "big boy" bath with brother.

Tiernan REALLY wanted to dump water all over Cameron's face. He kept sneaking the cup full of water up and up (all the while giving me a mischievious smile) thinking I wouldn't notice.

Whew! Finally!
