Cameron's Room

Here are some pictures of Cameron's room. My dad was so nice and painted the nursery while he and my mom were here visiting after Cameron was born. I still want to put some more things on the walls (in all my spare time)-it never happened with Tiernan, but hey, his room was also in the tornado so I think I have a pretty good excuse. :)

2 Weeks Old!

We've officially survived two weeks with a newborn! I'm still trying to get used to sleep deprivation...but it is all worth it when Cameron gives me those little smiles (yes, I know they're not "real" smiles) and makes those cute little newborn noises. He's been eating well and for the most part is a good sleeper-wakes up to eat but then goes right back to sleep. So far he won't take a pacifier-I'm a little bit nervous about that-I'm sure my family will think that's hilarious since I'm still (half-heartedly) trying to break our nearly two year old of the pacifier.

We went to his two week Dr. appt. on Tuesday, and he now weighs 8 lbs. 1 oz. (50%) and is still 20 3/4 in. long (50%.) And just like with Tiernan, she was so impressed by how much weight he's gained (Have you looked at his parents??)

I know his hair looks dark in pictures...it's actually a medium blond color For the most part, he is pretty content when he's awake-unless of course it's time to eat!

Tiernan is so curious about his new baby brother. He is so gentle with Cameron and I can tell really wants to play with him.

Yesterday he started giving Cameron kisses-so cute!

Introducing Cameron Michael!

I am so excited to post that Cameron Michael Cozzens was born Feb. 22nd at 5:23 pm. He was 6 lbs. 11 oz. and was 20 3/4 in. long. We are still trying to get adjusted to the sleep deprivation and dealing with a toddler AND a newborn...

Tiernan's Room

Well a few months later, Tiernan's new room is finally finished! Woohoo! We decided to have Tiernan share his room with the guest bedroom. He is into construction equipment right now, so we decided to get bedding along these lines. It has been SO sunny lately (can't complain about that!) so the pictures have quite a bit of glare. The baby room is pretty much ready-I've conned my dad into painting it when he and my mom come over after the baby's born, so hopefully soon I'll be able to post pics of that too!

We decided to paint the lower part blue, and the upper part yellow, with a chair rail between the two. I'm so thankful to have a handy husband!

Here are the cute curtains that Brenda made. Notice the pegs to hang up the bows on the top. Ethan was so excited when I presented that plan to him! Luckily I'm pregnant, and he just wanted to please the crazy hormonal lady. Anyway, he made the curtain "rod" himself.

Tiernan's part of the room. This is probably the one and only time you will see all of the books and toys actually on the bookshelf and the bed made! I had to be quick when I was taking pictures! I think part of the reason Tiernan was so excited about his new toddler bed (he had a smooth transition from the crib) was b/c he loves pointing out all the equipment to me.

Jerod Huwa (Tiernan's uncle) is a pencil artist and recently made a drawing of Tiernan and my hands with building blocks. His wife took pictures of him drawing along the way, and they compressed his progress into a minute long video on YouTube. I'm sure there is a way to import the video, but I'm not smart enough to figure it out. So for now, here is the link:

Eating and Laughing

Here is a short video of Tiernan feeding himself. He always cracked my mom up because he would hand his spoon or fork to me, I'd stab his food, then hand the spoon/fork back to him and he'd put it in his mouth. For some reason this week he decided that he wanted to be a big boy and do both. I feel like a whole new woman! In fact, he's eating some cereal right now, watching me post this entry!
