Hanging with Daddy

The boys love their daddy! (I'm pretty sure their daddy loves them too) Here are the latest pictures of our boys:

Reading before bed

The boys love playing in the blow up pool

What is with "too cool" face from Tiernan?

Cameron is even wearing his Moon shirt

This pic cracks me up

Let's go for a ride!

15 months old!

Okay, so this post is a month overdue. But when we took Cameron in for his 15 month appt., he was 31 3/4 in. long (71%) and 21 lbs. 8 oz. (14%.) I'm trying to get used to this boney-maroni baby business since Tiernan was always so heavy for his age. Here are some embarrassing naked pictures- the top photo is Tiernan at 15 months:

Playing and Wrestling with Dad

Our favorite nightly ritual lately is wrestling Daddy-especially on rainy days like we've been having (too much pent-up energy!!) Cameron has just started to figure out that this is pretty fun, and of course Tiernan thinks it's great to jump as high as he can right on Ethan's back. I tell the boys that daddies are much better at wrestling and then go pour myself a cup of hot cocoa. :) (Yeah, right, like I pour myself a cup of cocoa-I'm smarter than that-I wait until the kids are in bed so I actually get to drink some of it!)

Cameron is really starting to show his personality. He's started to push his brother when Tiernan is trying to get a toy that Cameron has, and will say NO! NO! to him. I think I have many years of fighting ahead of me....

They love playing on the little slide we have outside. Tiernan is WAY too big for it but will still knock Cameron over to try to get to the top first. Cameron has figured out how to climb up and then slide back down on his belly. Hilarious, apparently.

Yeah, but you shoulda seen the other guy...

So one more reason why I am not Mother of the Year. I was re-planting some flowers outside and left the door into our garage open while I was lugging a big bag of potting soil. In the literally two minutes that I was bringing the bag outside, Cameron managed to ride his dump truck down the two stairs into the garage and fall off into Ethan's Mustang and some cabinets. This picture is the day after and believe it or not, it looks better! I promise I'm not negligent-although you wouldn't guess it by all the bruises and snotty nose.

Tiernan's 3rd Bday

Oh what a difference a year makes! The first two pictures are April last year, and the second two I took just a few days ago. I can't believe how much Tiernan especially looks so much more like a little boy and not a toddler.

The next few pics are of Tiernan's birthday which we celebrated this past weekend. I can't believe my BABY is already three years old.

How many hundreds of toys do we have in our house and they fight over one at a time...

Tiernan is so excited about his track tractor from Daddy

Opening his car transporter

We had spaghetti the other night. It had been a while (I know, can you believe it? I was mildly traumatized by my mom who made it every other day growing up and so now I can hardly stand it-another day for that story...) Anyway-Cameron was SOOOO excited about it. I couldn't cut it up fast enough for him to eat. He took fistfuls of it and shoveled it in his mouth. After dinner I had to give both him and the high chair a hose down.

The boys were actually playing pretty well together in the sandbox. I think they made it 15 minutes before Tiernan dumped sand all over Cameron's head. I think that's a record.

Haircuts and Visit with Cousins

Last week my sister came over for a visit and brought her kiddos with. I tried uploading photos from her, but apparently the files are too big (grrrr, foiled again!) So I only have one super cute picture of all the cousins together....
I can't believe I caught one where they were all smiling!
We also decided to give the boys haircuts. Was it an ordeal! We asked Jacob if he wanted to get his haircut too. I can't believe he turned it down....

You would have thought we were ripping out his toenails

This was the first time we tried using the clippers on Cameron. I've been (badly) cutting his hair ever since he was born. Usually I'd shape it into his mohawk and then just chop away. But since his hair is not longer the baby-fine locks, it wouldn't stay up anymore. So we had to bid adieu to the longer mohawk "do." It brought back memories of the first time we cut Tiernan's hair (you can see he's made so much progress in that dept.) Cameron started out happy...

Oh dear...

So sad

This is what one part of my day looks like....

and this is what I spend a lot of my day trying to stop.

Notice the type of magazine he's reading??

Cameron Turns One!

We celebrated Cameron's 1st birthday on Saturday. I can't believe he'll turn one in two days! The year has flown by! The night before his birthday he started taking real steps between Ethan and I-ones where he balances on his toes and doesn't just fall into us. I'm sure one day he'll just take off! Once again, I tried posting a video, but the file is too large. I really need to figure this out!

For the party we had Ethan's extended family over as well as members of our Windsor "Lifegroup." It was so fun to have everyone there to celebrate with us!

Tiernan was so sick the day of the birthday party-I kept joking that we just have to mention having a b-day party and he gets sick-remember he was sick for both his 1st and 2nd birthday parties?? What is the deal with that?
Nick and sweet baby Eli

Ethan the Pied Piper of children (it's amazing what toys can do!)

Cameron loves his new doggy.

Look at those glossy eyes :( Poor boy

So much fun!

Sisters Kealani and Denali

Cameron was not too impressed by the cake

He grabbed the frosting and then got freaked out when it stuck to his hands

What a big boy!

My attempt at being creative-it took three hours just to frost-ridiculous!

What a handsome boy in his cute firetruck outfit from Auntie Tiffany.
